Paris Saint-Germain are open to letting Kylian Mbappe leave on loan this summer
A new transfer possibility has emerged for Kylian Mbappe which could see numerous Premier League clubs, including Arsenal and Chelsea, take note. The Blues have already begun work behind the scenes to see if signing Mbappe is feasible, while the Gunners have also been linked as Mikel Arteta aims to potentially bolster his attacking options.
On Friday night it was revealed that Mbappe had been left out of Paris Saint-Germain’s pre-season tour to Japan which showcased the French club were very serious when they handed Mbappe the ultimatum of signing a new contract or leaving in the current summer window.
Real Madrid remains the obvious destination for Mbappe, but Spanish outlet Marca have reported that Los Blancos are not currently planning to make a move before the start of the 2023/24 season. One club has formally expressed their interest though with Saudi Arabian outfit Al Hilal submitting a monumental €300million (£259million) bid.
Understandably, PSG are said to have accepted that proposal but the problem arises on the side of Mbappe and his desire to remain in Europe. However, those in the Middle East are aware of that stance and would be open to him only signing a one-year contract which would then allow him to join Madrid on a free transfer in 2024.
Following news of Al-Hilal’s world record offer, an alternative transfer option has come to light for Mbappe which removes the main stumbling block most clubs are coming up against when exploring a move for the 24-year-old.
According to BBC reporter Simon Stone, the Parisians are open to letting Mbappe leave on loan with their understanding being he would run down his PSG contract playing for another club which would then allow him to still join Madrid next summer and result in them still receiving funds from a loan fee.

Given PSG’s hefty demands to sanction an exit this summer, that loan fee being at a premium price is highly likely – but it could prove to be an invaluable purchase if it helps Arsenal or Chelsea secure silverware in the next campaign.
