Alejandro Garnacho, who came on for Antony, went on to score what he thought was a last-gap winner for United before his goal was eventually ruled out for offside.

“I do understand the criticism he [Antony] faces because he needs to be more productive and Manchester United spent a hell of a lot of money on him and I believe they would have expected a lot more from him,” said Cole.
