NICOLAS PEPE HAS JUST TWO WORDS FOR ARSENAL ON INSTAGRAM AFTER HIS CONTRACT IS TERMINATED
Nicolas Pepe’s nightmare at Arsenal is officially over.
A club-record transfer
The one-time goalscoring winger, who was breaking ankles in France, signed for Arsenal in a then-club record transfer in 2019 – Declan Rice has since smashed it.
A transfer fee of £72 million was handed to Lille for the Ivory Coast star (Sky Sports), yet fast forward to the present and Nicolas Pepe has just left the Premier League for nothing.
Arsenal confirmed via their official website on Saturday that they have agreed to ‘terminate his contract with immediate effect’ after the 28-year-old had one year left to run.
Pepe then took to his Instagram story to simply write two words ‘Gunners fam’ added with a heart and salute emojis.
Even though he arrived at the Emirates with so much promise, it just didn’t work out for the left-footed speedster, even though the Unai Emery signing was handed chance after chance under Mikel Arteta.

Pepe joins Trabzonspor on a free transfer
There was talk of a possible move to the ever-growing league in Saudi Arabia, but it has been suggested that he was asking for too much in wages, so a move didn’t materialise.
Either way, the French-born star has found a new home in the form of Turkish side, Trabzonspor.
Even going back to France last season on a season-long loan deal didn’t spark Pepe’s game back to life.
So, just from the ground up, he needs to start enjoying his football again, or else, he will fall further down the ladder in European football.
