“Even this Tottenham flop will start over Martin Odeegard” Pundit slams Arsenal fans for feeling their their players are world-class, explains that 3 non world-class players would break into Arsenal team easily following claim by Roy Keane who was not happy with some Arsenal players after defeat inflicted on Manchester United.

‘Gets in over Martin Odegaard’: talkSPORT pundit says 3 Tottenham players start for Arsenal

Darren Ambrose says Tottenham Hotspur trio James Maddison, Cristian Romero and Destiny Udogie start for Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal.

The former Premier League midfielder made it clear that, on current form, he would take James Maddison, who he thinks is ‘flying’, over Martin Odegaard.

It could be argued that Arsenal’s man with the armband was his side’s best player last season, but Ambrose would still pick Tottenham’s summer signing over the Norway star, as he told talkSPORT.

On top of Maddison, Ambrose also feels that 20-year-old Destiny Udogie also gets the nod instead of Oleksandr Zinchenko, with Cristian Romero at the heart of the defence.

Last season, Mikel Arteta’s side narrowly missed out on winning the Premier League title, whilst their neighbours didn’t even finish in Europe.

And during this current campaign, both have made unbeaten starts, with Ange Postecoglou bringing in a new attacking style of play to the club.

Which Tottenham players start for Arsenal?
“I think Maddison gets in,” said Ambrose. “Yes (over Odegaard as the ten). Maddison is arguably the best player in the Premier League, at the moment. We are talking current form right now. On current form, Maddison gets in over Odegaard.

“Last season, Odegaard, of course. But this season, the way Maddison is going, he is one of three players, since the start of last season, that has scored ten and assisted ten. Odegaard needs one of the others Saka or Salah. On current form, Maddison is flying. And Odegaard hasn’t really started. He is doing okay. But hasn’t really started yet.

“I would put Romero in. Udogie gets in on current form. But he (Zinchenko) hasn’t been playing much. He has been injured. It’s been a good start. I forgot he was at Spurs when he went on loan.”

Arsenal and Tottenham flying
The north London derby is around the corner, with both sides heading into that fixture at the Emirates full of optimism and belief that they can win the game.

There is every chance that the duo are still unbeaten by the time they lock horns on September 24, which will just make the game that bit spicier.

Either way, given that the NLD are usually full of goals, well, it’s going to be taken up a few notches this season because now it’s a case of two attack-minded coaches pitting their wits against one another.
