Declan Rice will likely not be happy with Martin Odeegard

Gabriel Jesus was the star of the show as Arsenal beat Sevilla 2-1 in the Champions League last night, and Declan Rice has shown him some love on Instagram.

Playing a Spanish side in Spain has historically been difficult for the Gunners, but Mikel Arteta‘s men got the job done last night. Jesus was absolutely incredible.

Both Declan Rice and Gabriel Jesus started for Arsenal against Sevilla last night, and they were brilliant.

The Englishman bossed the game in the middle of the park. He got on the ball a lot and his driving runs forward caused Sevilla a ton of problems.

Jesus, however, was the real star of the show.

The £45 million (BBC) Brazilian pulled off an outrageous piece of skill to assist Gabriel Martinelli in the first half, before scoring an absolute stunner himself eight minutes after the break.

There were concerns about Jesus after Mikel Arteta confirmed he picked up an injury, but the striker himself has now come out and claimed that he’s sure it’s nothing big.

Jesus took to Instagram to celebrate the win last night, and Rice showed him some love.

“My brother,” he wrote followed by a heart emoji.

Jesus and Rice were Arsenal’s best players vs Sevilla
A number of Arsenal players stepped up and played well last night, but we think Jesus and Rice were the two best players on the pitch.

The Brazilian scored a goal and picked up an assist. He deservedly won the Man of the Match award, but Rice was really good too.

He started as a left-sided number eight and had a huge impact at both ends of the pitch. His forward runs, in particular, were really impressive and would’ve given Arteta a lot of encouragement.

Arsenal take on Sheffield United next and both Rice and Jesus are expected to start. If they have a good game, the Gunners should be able to blow the Blades out of the water.
