Manchester City produced a huge statement of intent on Sunday with an emphatic victory over Manchester United at Old Trafford.
Erling Haaland netted a brace either side of half-time before Phil Foden made sure of the three points against a poor United side. Pep Guardiola’s men are now level on points with Arsenal and two points behind league leaders Tottenham Hotspur.
City are attempting to win a fourth straight Premier League title this season after pipping the Gunners last term. Should they come out on top once again, they will become the first English team to win four consecutive league titles.
Despite losing to Arsenal earlier this month, City have responded in the perfect fashion with three consecutive wins in all competitions. Many have continued to back Guardiola’s outfit to retain the Premier League title and it seems that belief is high inside the Man City camp.
After thrashing their city rivals, a video of players chanting the popular chant ‘Champions again, Ole, Ole,” was posted online by winger Jeremy Doku. The chant was also sung by the travelling supporters at Old Trafford in the corner of the ground housing the away fans on Sunday and the players are certainly approving of the song.
The video, posted on Doku’s Snapchat story, shows John Stones and Rodri jumping up and down in the away dressing room at Old Trafford. Man of the Match Bernardo Silva and Foden can also be seen as the players celebrated the win with the coaching staff.
