Mikel Arteta provides Thomas Partey and Emile Smith Rowe injury updates ahead of Wolves clash
Mikel Arteta provided the latest Arsenal team news ahead of the weekend’s clash with Wolves in the Premier League
Mikel Arteta faced the press ahead of Arsenal’s Premier League clash with Wolverhampton Wanderers at the Emirates Stadium. The Gunners boss provided the latest updates on the squad after positive returns for both Gabriel Jesus and Martin Odegaard who both scored against RC Lens in midweek.
Ben White has also returned to action and came on against both Brentford and Lens with second-half substitute appearances. He will be hoping to reclaim his right-back spot but faces significant competition from the impressive Takehiro Tomiyasu who has flourished in his absence.
Mikel Arteta explained that after the game in midweek, there were no new problems. However, both Thomas Partey and Emile Smith Rowe remained out and the Arsenal manager gave an update on whether either would feature at the weekend.
“No,” he said when asked if there were any new concerns. “I don’t think we’re going to get anybody back still and we didn’t have any incidents so all good.”
Arsenal will hope that both progress with their recoveries. After games with Wolves and Luton there is a tough run including trips to Aston Villa and Liverpool in addition to the visit of Brighton to the Emirates which both players would be hugely useful for.
