Arsenal sit top of the Premier League after one of the most thrilling weekends of the season so far. The Gunners beat Wolves 2-1 to increase their lead over Manchester City to three points after Pep Guardiola’s side were held to a dramatic 3-3 draw by Tottenham Hotspur, who claimed a late equaliser to end their three-game losing streak.

Brentford beat Luton Town 3-1 while West Ham and Crystal Palace played out a 1-1 draw at the London Stadium. Chelsea beat Brighton 3-2 at Stamford Bridge, with Enzo Fernandez’s penalty proving decisive as he scored from the spot to put the Blues 3-1 up. The penalty was given after VAR asked the on-field referee to consult his pitch-side monitor following a challenge from James Milner on Mykhailo Mudryk.

VAR was involved as Fulham dramatically lost 4-3 to Liverpool – just two points behind Arsenal – at Anfield. The Cottagers looked on course for victory after Bobby De Cordova-Reid’s header but two goals in two minutes turned it around for the hosts. Kenny Tete had his goal late in the first half awarded by VAR after it was wrongly given offside on the field. Following the latest involvements from VAR we have looked at how the table might look without the use of the technology. Factoring in VAR decisions that led to goals being disallowed or awarded by the technology, including via penalties, here’s how the table might look as things stand…
