Jesus perfectly placed himself at the far post from a Bukayo Saka corner. He had a free header after Jan Paul van Hecke’s nodded Saka’s cross into his path.
Aside from his goal, the 26-year-old was excellent with his hold-up and link-up play in attack.
He had 49 touches with a pass accuracy of 100 per cent (36/36). He also won 100 per cent of his dribbles and made two key passes for his teammates.
Much has been said about the Gunners’ striking department this term, but Jesus has been pretty good with a goal contribution in every 109 minutes.
Since his return from a hamstring injury, the £45 million signing has five goal involvements in all competitions. The onus is on him continuing the good form.
Arsenal returned to the top of the league standings with their convincing win over Brighton after Liverpool shared the spoils against Manchester United.
