Done Deal: …..world-class player now in London Colney to complete signing today, Here We Go

AGENT OF EVERTON MIDFIELDER AMADOU ONANA HAS HELD TALKS WITH ARSENAL IN LONDON TODAY

The agent of Everton midfielder Amadou Onana was in London today to meet with the representatives of Arsenal, according to Les Bons Conceil Du Sports editor Seb Ecrivain Foot.

The Gunners want to sign the 22-year-old Belgium international but will have to pip Manchester United and Chelsea to his services.

It appears Arsenal have now moved ahead of other suitors in the race for Onana after holding talks with his agent.

The North London club want to bolster their options in midfield following an injury to Thomas Partey, and the Everton star has impressed them with his performances since the start of last term.

The Toffees will not be keen on losing one of their most important players, but they could be forced to part ways with him given their current Financial Fair Play issues.

According to the Daily Telegraph journalist Luke Edwards, Onana is certainly tempted to leave the Merseyside club for a bigger club this month, and a switch to Arsenal cannot be ruled out.

The midfield powerhouse joined Everton from Lille in the summer of 2022 for around £33 million and has established himself as a key player in the side, helping to keep them up last term.

Onana has remained his brilliant self this term and is one of the reasons they have impressed after they were docked ten points following a breach of the Premier League’s Profitability and Sustainability Rules – a decision currently under appeal.

Having such a player in the Arsenal midfield will make them invincible in the middle of the park as a combination of Declan Rice and the Belgian will be too much to handle for opponents.

Everton will want top dollar to sell Onana during the January transfer window, and it remains to be seen whether the Gunners can splash the cash right now as they look to comply with the Premier League’s Profitability and Sustainability Rules.
