Ivan Toney is at the centre of a huge transfer storm right now.
The Brentford striker is being linked with so many moves at the moment that it’s tough to keep track of it all.
However, the two teams that have been most strongly linked with a move for Toney in recent weeks have been Arsenal and Chelsea.
The Gunners and the Blues certainly both need new strikers through the door, and according to Ben Jacobs, Toney does have a preference for which club comes in for him.
Indeed, speaking on The Done Deal Show, Jacobs stated that Toney would welcome a bid from Arsenal more so than he would welcome a bid from Chelsea.

Toney wants Arsenal to bid rather than Chelsea
Jacobs shared what he knows about the ‘world class’ striker.
“I would also say that free agency in 2025 isn’t out of the question, when Toney says loyalty I don’t think he means just until the end of the season, I think there’s a fair chance he stays at Brentford for even longer. My understanding remains that yes Toney would welcome a move from Arsenal, more so than Chelsea, and for Chelsea he’s not necessarily top of the list, but we may have to wait longer to resolve the Toney situation than the next couple of weeks,” Jacobs said.

Understandable
It’s not hard to understand why Toney would rather Arsenal made a move for him rather than Chelsea.
One of these teams is in the Champions League and challenging for a Premier League title, while the other isn’t playing in Europe at all and sit 10th in the table.
It doesn’t take a genius to figure out why Toney may be more open to joining the Gunners.
Of course, whether or not either team actually does make a bid remains to be seen, but, by the sounds of it, Toney is waiting on Arsenal to potentially make their move.
