There has been speculation over Emile Smith Rowe’s future
Arsenal’s stance on selling Emile Smith Rowe ‘may shift’ so the club can bring in new players, according to reports.

The 23-year-old, a Hale End academy graduate, has struggled for regular game time again this term which has led to speculation over his future at the Emirates.
Smith Rowe was the subject of a late enquiry from Chelsea in the summer transfer window but Arsenal rejected their approach.
Newcastle United have been linked to Smith Rowe in the current January transfer window although they may be restricted by profit and sustainability rules (PSR).
Arsenal are in a similar spot in regards to PSR, though, and their position on Smith Rowe’s future ‘may shift’ to continue investment into the squad, The Athletic have reported.
The sale of an academy graduate such as Smith Rowe holds ‘particular appeal’ as any transfer fee they receive would be pure profit, which would help around PSR.
While Mikel Arteta is keen to keep Smith Rowe, the Arsenal manager admits he will not stand in the Englishman’s way should he wish to depart north London.

‘I love listening to them about how they are feeling, what is the best thing for them, or what they want to do. Because you really have to be aligned with them and how they are feeling and they have to feel important.’
However, Arteta has also promised Smith Rowe that he will get ‘chances’ in the second half of the season and it is thought that the player is not keen to leave Arsenal at this current moment in time.
