West Ham United team news v Crystal Palace: New injury worry for David Moyes
West Ham boss David Moyes has shared an update on the availability of his squad to face Crystal Palace in the Premier League on Sunday (21 April).
The Irons will make the trip to Selhurst Park after being knocked out of the Europa League by Bayer Leverkusen on Thursday 18 April and will hope to bounce back from the blow.
Nayef Aguerd returned for the European clash but was substituted at half-time due to an injury, while Lucas Paqueta, Emerson Palmieri and Konstantinos Mavropanos were all unavailable.
Speaking in his pre-match press conference on Friday (19 April), Moyes said: “I’ve not had a chance to assess Nayef [Aguerd]. He rolled his ankle. He and Dinos [Mavropanos] are being assessed before Sunday.
“Emerson and Lucas Paquetá will come back into contention, and Kalvin Phillips and Alphonse Areola will be checked.”
West Ham United handed boosts ahead of Crystal Palace clash
After being knocked out of the Europa League, narrowly losing out to the newly-crowned Bundesliga champions, all focus must now be on the Premier League.
Currently sitting in eighth in the table, the Hammers are just two points behind sixth-place Newcastle United, with Manchester United wedged in the middle.
With just five matches of the campaign remaining, a top-five finish is highly unlikely after such a positive start to the season, but West Ham can still finish the season on a high.

Moyes will definitely be looking to improve on the return leg earlier this season, when Mohammed Kudus’ effort was cancelled out by Odsonne Edouard in a 1-1 stalemate at home.
West Ham United
Lucas Paqueta has been in excellent form for West Ham United this season.
However, the recent head-to-head history will also need to be rectified, with Crystal Palace winning two of the last three meetings, and will be full of confidence after a 1-0 victory against Liverpool.
West Ham’s form in recent weeks has been quite dire, with just one league win from the last five matches, a run that includes the 4-3 defeat to Newcastle.
In other West Ham news, Jamie O’Hara was left in disbelief at a name put forward to replace Moyes.
