“Suspended points is what we would really hope for,” Wyness told the Inside Track podcast. “Suspended points would be good. I’m still concerned about where it will go, whether it could be a half-point deduction still, could be cancelled, it’s still strange as to where we might end up.”
Wyness believes that even a half-point deduction could be crucial in the relegation battle, given the tight margins in the Premier League. “But of course, half a point could be just as valuable as goal difference these days. It would be huge. Everton seemed to lose a bit of traction on goal difference against Chelsea.”
