“Stay with Us, we beg you”: Everton ready crunch talks with star man – want him to stay one more year

Everton FC are engaged in talks to persuade Jarrad Branthwaite to extend his stay at the club for another season, sources close to the negotiations have revealed. The 21-year-old defender, who has made 38 appearances this season, would be allowed to leave in the summer of 2025 if he agrees to the proposal.

Branthwaite has been a key player for Sean Dyche’s side this season, forming a strong partnership with James Tarkowski and contributing three goals. His impressive performances have also earned him an England call-up, with Gareth Southgate selecting him for the national team in March.

However, Manchester United are keen to sign Branthwaite this summer, with sources indicating that they are willing to pay between £60-70 million to secure his services. The Red Devils view him as their top centre-back target, and Everton may struggle to resist such a significant offer.

If Branthwaite does leave in the summer, Everton will not have the financial resources to bring in a big-money replacement, sources have confirmed.

The Toffees are keen to keep Branthwaite for another season, and crunch talks will be held at the end of the current campaign to determine his future.
