Daniel Farke will be HAPPY to let Leeds Star leave this summer, he has not been productive

Leeds United midfielder Lew Bate is expected to leave the club on a free transfer in the summer, according to The Yorkshire Evening Post. Bate, 21, has been on loan at MK Dons in League Two and has impressed, but it appears he will not be offered a new contract at Elland Road.

Bate joined Leeds from Chelsea in 2021 and was hailed as a “magician” by Karl Robinson, but he has struggled to break into the first team. He made four appearances under Marcelo Bielsa and Jesse Marsch, but has not featured regularly.

Despite his impressive performances on loan, it seems Bate will not be part of Daniel Farke’s plans at Leeds. The report suggests he will be allowed to leave on a free transfer, which may come as a surprise given his potential.

Former Leeds manager Marcelo Bielsa was a fan of Bate’s, praising his ability to retain possession and thread passes through the opposition. However, it seems Bate needs to find a new club where he can play regularly, ideally at a level above League Two.

A top-end League One side or a Championship club may be a good fit for Bate, who has shown promise in his loan spell at MK Dons. Leeds United fans will hope he finds success elsewhere, but it appears his time at Elland Road is coming to an end.
