Iheanacho has been linked with Everton before, and the club’s former CEO, Keith Wyness, believes that the Nigerian international would be a good fit for the Toffees. Wyness has also suggested that Iheanacho’s agent may have advised him to wear a t-shirt with a message hinting at his departure from Leicester, in an attempt to put pressure on the club to offer him a new deal.
However, Everton will face competition for Iheanacho’s signature, with Aston Villa also reportedly interested in the striker. Iheanacho has proven himself to be a capable Premier League player, scoring five goals in 23 league appearances for Leicester last season, and would be a valuable addition to Everton’s squad.
It remains to be seen whether Everton will be able to secure Iheanacho’s signature, but the club’s interest in him is clear. With the summer transfer window approaching, it will be interesting to see how Everton’s transfer plans unfold.
