Everton Confirms Contract Offers and Player Departures
Ahead of the final match of the 2024/25 Premier League season, Everton Football Club has announced contract offers and player departures. Captain Seamus Coleman and Ashley Young will be offered new one-year contracts, while the club has activated an option to extend Idrissa Gana Gueye’s deal until the end of June 2025.
Senior players Andre Gomes and Andy Lonergan will leave the club when their current contracts expire at the end of next month. Arnaut Danjuma and Jack Harrison will also return to their parent clubs, Villarreal and Leeds United respectively, following the conclusion of their season-long loans. However, Everton will continue dialogue with Leeds over the future of forward Jack Harrison once their Championship play-off campaign is completed.
Dele Alli, whose current contract also ends next month, will remain with the club while he continues his intensive rehabilitation programme from a long-term groin injury.
Everton Director of Football, Kevin Thelwell, expressed gratitude to the departing players for their service and contribution to the club. He also emphasized the importance of supporting Dele Alli’s rehabilitation during this critical point in his recovery.
The announcements come as Everton prepares to face Arsenal in their final match of the season on Sunday.
