Everton Transfer News: £25m Update Emerges on Chelsea Striker Armando Broja

Everton, along with Wolves and Crystal Palace, are set to battle it out for Chelsea striker Armando Broja, who will not return to Fulham, according to Ben Jacobs. The Albanian striker has fallen down the pecking order at Stamford Bridge and failed to impress during his loan spell at Craven Cottage.

Jacobs claims that there is interest from the Middle East as well, with clubs valuing Broja at £25 million, while Chelsea is looking for almost twice that fee. The 22-year-old is expected to leave Chelsea this summer, and Everton must avoid signing him, according to the author.

The Toffees have already explored signing Broja in the past and have rightly decided against bringing him to the club. With Beto already signed last summer for big money and Dominic Calvert-Lewin hitting form towards the end of the season, signing a player who has struggled at Fulham should not be an incentive for Everton.

Furthermore, a £25 million outlay for Broja is considered ridiculous, as he has done nothing to prove why he’s worth that amount. The money could be better spent on signing a right-back or a wide attacker, as that’s the immediate need ahead of the summer transfer window.

If Jarrad Branthwaite leaves, then the Toffees may need to spend big money on a quality replacement, making Broja’s signing even less appealing. In other Everton news, fans will be thrilled as a £3.4 billion revelation has emerged surrounding the takeover.
