Everton offers whooping £16M for player who is does not seem good enough for Everton but………

Everton FC has made a multimillion-pound transfer bid for former Tottenham ace Davinson Sanchez, according to Turkish journalist Ali Naci Küçük. The Toffees have offered £16million to sign the Colombian international from Galatasaray, but the Istanbul giants are holding out for a higher price.

Sanchez has started all three games for Colombia at the Copa America, scoring in the 3-0 victory over Panama on June 29. His performances have caught the eye of Everton manager Sean Dyche, who is looking to strengthen his defense following the sale of Ben Godfrey to Atalanta.

Galatasaray signed Sanchez from Spurs last season, and the Turkish club is reluctant to let him go without a significant offer. They are holding out for around €30m (£25.4m) if they are to sell the 28-year-old center-back this summer.

Everton’s bid for Sanchez is a significant one, and it shows the club’s intent to strengthen their defense. With the departure of Godfrey, the Toffees are in need of a new center-back, and Sanchez’s experience in the Premier League and Champions League makes him an attractive option.

Sanchez has fallen out of favor at Spurs in recent years, but he has extensive experience in the Premier League, with 143 games under his belt. He has also played over 50 times in the Champions League, Europa League, and Conference League, and has 62 international caps for Colombia.

If Everton are able to sign Sanchez, he would be a valuable addition to the squad. He has the experience and quality to be a starter, and his presence would give Dyche more options in defense. With Jarrad Branthwaite’s future uncertain, Sanchez could be the man to partner James Tarkowski in the heart of defense.

The signing of Sanchez would also be a statement of intent from Everton, showing that they are willing to spend big to strengthen their squad. With the Dan Freidkin takeover moving in the right direction, the club may have more cash available to spend this summer.
