West Ham United is reportedly interested in signing Manchester United midfielder Scott McTominay this summer. McTominay who doesn’t seem t be a great player sometimes has been a solid player for Manchester United over the past five years and has been linked to West Ham since 2022. It might not be necessary to buy him cause he is going to cost much.
Julen Lopetegui may try to sign McTominay to bolster his central midfield department, but there is a major problem. Newcastle is also interested in signing McTominay, and Manchester United has not decided if they want to sell him yet.
McTominay would be an excellent signing for West Ham, bringing energy, athleticism, and stamina to the team. He would complement Edson Alvarez well and provide a box-to-box presence in midfield.
However, Manchester United has the option to extend McTominay’s contract by a further 12 months, putting them in a position of power. Lopetegui should still pursue McTominay, as he would be an exceptional signing for West Ham.
McTominay has proven himself to be a top-class Premier League performer, known for his strength in the tackle, quickness, and aggression. He would be a major asset for West Ham and a statement of intent from Lopetegui.
In other news, West Ham is also reportedly interested in signing Jhon Duran, Eddie Nketiah, and a £6 million star who scored six Premier League goals last season. The Hammers are actively working to strengthen their squad, and fans will be excited to see who they bring in during the transfer window.
