West Ham in talks to sign new £17m top target; Lopetegui ready to replace the team’s right-back. (Read FULL STORY in the comment section).

West Ham United are in ongoing talks with Bayern Munich to sign right-back Noussair Mazraoui. Bayern are willing to sell for around £17 million to fund further signings. West Ham face competition from Manchester United, who also want to strengthen their right-back position.

Mazraoui joined Bayern in 2022 but has only featured in 55 games, making him a peripheral player. West Ham’s interest in him has been longstanding, and they are now pushing to complete the signing.

Bayern need to sell players to fund new signings, having spent £150 million this summer. They want at least £17 million for Mazraoui, but no agreement has been reached yet. If a deal can’t be agreed, West Ham may turn to Manchester United’s Aaron Wan-Bissaka as an alternative.

Mazraoui is keen to play in the Premier League, and West Ham’s manager Julen Lopetegui wants him at the London Stadium. The signing would help West Ham upgrade their right-back position, which is a priority after Ben Johnson’s exit.

West Ham have already made signings in other positions, including centre-back Max Kilman and winger Luis Guilherme. They have a strong central midfield, allowing them to focus on other areas. The club is building a strong squad, and the addition of Mazraoui would be a significant boost.

The transfer saga continues, with West Ham and Manchester United vying for Mazraoui’s signature. The outcome depends on who can agree a fee with Bayern first.
