Leeds United have expressed interest in signing Liverpool’s highly-rated midfielder Bobby Clark on a loan deal, sources have revealed to Football Insider. The 19-year-old has attracted attention from several clubs, including Sheffield United and Norwich, who are preparing formal offers. RB Salzburg has also opened talks with Liverpool for a permanent transfer.
However, Liverpool is more likely to consider a loan move for Clark rather than a permanent sale before the transfer window closes on August 31. Clark signed a new contract with Liverpool in December 2023, extending his stay at Anfield until 2028.
Leeds United’s interest in Clark comes after losing Archie Gray and Glen Kamara from their midfield this summer. Daniel Farke’s side is seeking to fill the gap with a talented young player like Clark, who has already made 14 senior appearances for Liverpool.
The Reds have accelerated their search for a new midfielder, which could push Clark further down the pecking order at Anfield. This development has sparked a race among clubs to sign Clark on a season-long loan deal.
Clark joined Liverpool from Newcastle United’s academy in 2021 and has since emerged as one of the club’s most promising prospects. His first-team debut came in August 2022 against Bournemouth, and he has been tipped for a bright future in the game.
