One of the EPL top 6 teams about to snatch West Ham’s midfielder target… The team has commenced contract talks with the star midfielder, ready to sign the player before West Ham.

Manchester United have held initial talks with Monaco over a potential deal for midfielder Youssouf Fofana, according to Sky Sports News. Fofana has been a target for West Ham United, but Manchester United’s interest has increased due to Paris Saint-Germain’s high asking price for Manuel Ugarte.

Fofana is in the final year of his contract, and Monaco is willing to sell him for €35m. However, several clubs are interested in signing him, including AC Milan, who are reportedly Fofana’s preferred destination. West Ham United had previously attempted to sign Fofana but were told he prefers AC Milan, making a deal unlikely.

Manchester United are exploring alternative midfield options, including Sander Berge, Richard Rios, and Martin Zubimendi. The club is trying to understand the terms and structure of a potential deal for Fofana, who is considered a top target.
