West Ham United’s pursuit of Jhon Duran has become “very complicated”, according to Fabrizio Romano. The club’s recent signing of Niclas Fullkrug for a substantial fee has made it difficult to justify spending another £40 million on Duran.
Aston Villa has rejected all proposals from West Ham, including one worth over £30 million plus a player and a long clause. Villa believes Duran is worth £40 million guaranteed and is happy to keep him.
Romano stated that while the deal is not impossible, it is very complicated. Duran has been pushing for a move to West Ham, but Villa’s stance has made it unlikely. However, given the unexpected turns in this transfer window, nothing can be ruled out.
