Done DEAL: Leeds UNITED to strike FINAL DEAL of the summer to sign TOP-CLASS player that will make Everton fans forget about Rutter and Summerville

Leeds United’s Search for a New Winger: Rabbi Matondo Emerges as a Target

Leeds United’s transfer window has been marred by chaos, with Georginio Rutter’s exit and Crysencio Summerville’s departure to West Ham United leaving the team in need of a new winger. Despite having money to spend, Leeds’ recruitment team has yet to find a suitable replacement for Summerville.

Daniel Farke, Leeds’ manager, has publicly expressed his desire to sign a new winger, stating that he wants to address the position in the final week of the transfer window. However, the latest link to Rangers’ Rabbi Matondo has raised eyebrows, with many questioning whether he can replace Summerville’s output.

Matondo, 23, has fallen down the pecking order at Rangers and is expected to leave the club in the next couple of weeks. Leeds are reportedly considering signing him permanently or on an initial loan deal with a future buy option. However, his stats from last season – six goals and four assists in 31 appearances – do not suggest he can fill the void left by Summerville.

In his younger days, Matondo was hailed as a top talent, with Pep Guardiola praising his speed and potential. However, his career has stagnated since then, and it remains to be seen whether he can revive his fortunes at Leeds.

Leeds’ recruitment team faces a daunting task in replacing Summerville’s output, and Matondo may not be the answer. The team needs a marquee arrival to justify selling both Rutter and Summerville, and Matondo may not fit the bill.

As the transfer window enters its final stages, Leeds must act quickly to secure a new winger. With Farke’s pressure mounting, the recruitment team must deliver to ensure the team’s success in the upcoming season.
