Celtic Midfielder Hyeokkyu Kwon Joins Hibs on Season-Long Loan

Hyeokkyu Kwon, a 23-year-old defensive midfielder, has completed a season-long loan move to Hibernian FC (Hibs) from Celtic FC. The South Korean player is eager to make a significant impact at Easter Road after a frustrating first season at Parkhead, where he failed to make a single first-team appearance.

Kwon’s move to Hibs comes after a successful loan spell with St Mirren in the latter half of last season, where he made nine appearances and helped the club achieve a fifth-place finish. Kwon has been working hard in training to win a spot in his new team, but will need to be patient due to his ineligibility to play against Celtic in the Scottish League Cup. He praised his teammates for their kindness and support, saying: “The first few days I’ve been very tired because training is very tough, but my teammates are very kind.
