Celtic FC Eyes Alvyn Sanches as Summer Transfer Target

Celtic FC is actively seeking to bolster its squad before the summer transfer window closes. Following the permanent signing of Adam Idah from Norwich City, manager Brendan Rodgers is looking to add more players to the team.

According to a report by Fussball Transfers, Celtic has expressed interest in signing 21-year-old winger Alvyn Sanches from Lausanne-Sport. The young player may be looking for a significant career move this summer, and Celtic is among the clubs vying for his signature.

However, Celtic faces competition from clubs in England, France, and Belgium, also interested in signing Sanches. The report suggests that Celtic’s chances of securing the player are “not bad.” Sanches’ current contract with Lausanne-Sport runs until 2026, and Celtic may need to pay a transfer fee of around £4.25 million to sign him.

Celtic’s interest in Sanches comes as the club prepares for the potential departure of midfielder Matt O’Riley. According to the Daily Mail, Atalanta offered £23 million for O’Riley, but the bid was rejected. Rodgers has stated that he won’t discuss details of every bid for O’Riley unless the player’s valuation is met.

If O’Riley leaves, Celtic may look to sign Sanches or other players to strengthen their squad. Sanches is expected to leave Switzerland before the end of the transfer window, and Celtic has the funds to make a move.

Additionally, Celtic is interested in signing £10 million-rated Belgian youngster Arne Engels, who impressed during his time at Augsburg. The club is also searching for a new left-back and has identified Liverpool’s Owen Beck as a potential target. Liverpool is open to letting Beck leave on loan or permanently, and Celtic is in the running to sign him before the end of August.
