According to Sky Sports Germany reporter Florian Plettenberg, Everton has made contact with PSG over a possible deal, with the French side valuing Soler at around £20 million.
Soler, 27, has struggled to replicate his impressive form at Valencia since joining PSG in September 2022. However, he has earned praise from his previous teammates, with Curro Torres labelling him the “complete midfielder”.
Everton’s interest in Soler is said to be “concrete”, and they face strong competition from West Ham, who opened talks to sign the player earlier this week. Soler has played 63 times for PSG in all competitions, scoring eight goals and recording eight assists.
The Toffees have been busy in the transfer market, bringing in six new players, including Jake O’Brien, Iliman Ndiaye, Tim Iroegbunam, Jesper Linstrom, and Asmir Begovic. However, they may not be stopping there, as they also enquired about a possible deal to sign midfielder Junior Dina Ebimbe from Eintracht Frankfurt.
With just a week left of the transfer window, Sean Dyche may be keen on adding to his squad to address their poor start to the season. Everton was demolished by Brighton at Goodison Park and is desperate to avoid a repeat of last season’s performance.
