Austute ManCrystal Palace part-owner John Textor has released a statement confirming his interest in purchasing a majority stake in Everton. The American businessman, who currently owns 45% of Crystal Palace, has been in talks with Everton owner Farhad Moshiri to finalize a deal by the end of the week.
In his statement, Textor revealed that he is selling his interest in Crystal Palace to pursue a relationship with Everton. He explained that he made an offer to buy the remaining shares of Crystal Palace but did not receive a response from his partners.
Textor’s statement read: “We can confirm that we are interested in selling our interest in Crystal Palace, largely so that we can pursue a relationship with the Everton club and community. We believe that Palace has become a much more valuable club since 2021, and we respected our partners enough to offer fair value, regardless of circumstances.”
