Daniel Farke Criticizes Manor Solomon for “Wrong Decision” in Leeds United’s Defeat to Burnley

Leeds United manager Daniel Farke has expressed his disappointment with Manor Solomon’s decision-making during the team’s 1-0 defeat to Burnley at Elland Road. Solomon’s error led to Burnley’s winning goal, scored by Luca Koleosho in the 18th minute.

Farke believes that Solomon made the “wrong decision” by not keeping things simple and instead trying to turn and keep the attack going. This led to him slipping and losing possession, allowing Burnley to counter-attack and score.

“Manor with the wrong decision. Did not need to take this risk. They have an 85-yard counter. Credit to them. Effective finish. Normally, we had better chances and easier chances to score, but did not take them,” Farke said in his post-match press conference.

While Farke was critical of Solomon’s decision, he also acknowledged that the player is normally reliable and that the slip was unfortunate. However, he also expressed disappointment with Jayden Bogle’s failure to close down Koleosho before he scored.

The defeat was Leeds United’s first of the season, and Farke will be looking to address the issues that led to the loss. The team had chances to score, but failed to take them, and Farke will be working on improving the team’s composure in front of goal.

Overall, the defeat was a disappointing one for Leeds United, but Farke remains confident in his team’s abilities and will be looking to bounce back in the next game.
