“He Desperately wants to Stay at Everton BUT…” – Everton Outcast Seriously wants to REVIVE His Career at Everton BUT His Former Club Still Has a GRIP on Him…

Everton and Tottenham Continue Talks Over Dele Alli’s Future

Everton’s sporting director, Kevin Thelwell, has provided an update on the ongoing discussions with Tottenham Hotspur regarding Dele Alli’s future.

The former England midfielder has been sidelined since August 2022 due to injury and is currently training with Everton at Finch Farm. His contract with the Toffees expired at the end of last season, but he remains eager to revive his Premier League career.

Thelwell revealed that talks with Tottenham are progressing well, with the two clubs working towards a resolution regarding the add-on clauses in Dele’s original contract. These clauses would require Everton to pay Tottenham if Dele were to feature for the Toffees again.

“We are in a good space now with Tottenham, we have an agreement with those guys about what happens next if we sign him,” Thelwell told BBC Sounds.

Dele’s potential return to the pitch could provide a much-needed boost for Everton, who have struggled in the early stages of the 2024/25 campaign. Thelwell acknowledged Dele’s desire to play for Everton and the club’s willingness to make it happen.

“And he would dearly love to play for Everton in the Premier League and we would dearly love that to happen as well because the boy has had a very difficult time.”

However, considering Dele’s prolonged absence from the game, it remains uncertain whether he can make an immediate impact. The two clubs must first reach an agreement, and Dele will need time to regain match fitness.

The situation is being closely monitored by Everton fans, who are eager for any positive news amidst the team’s struggles. A successful resolution to the talks could potentially revive Dele’s career and provide a welcome injection of talent for the Toffees.
