West Ham HAUNTED By Decision to Sign Lopetegui Instead of Ruben Amorim as Sullivan Spokesman Gives THREE Reasons Why Amorim was Passed…..

David Sullivan’s Spokesman Reveals Why West Ham Passed on Ruben Amorim

West Ham United’s hierarchy decided not to hire Ruben Amorim as manager due to concerns about his experience and adaptability, according to a spokesman for David Sullivan. The spokesman recently shared the reasons behind the club’s decision with Hammers News.

Amorim’s success as a manager has been limited to Portugal, specifically with Sporting CP, which raised concerns among West Ham’s leadership. Additionally, the club had reservations about his coaching entourage and a significant release clause in his Sporting CP contract.

Despite these concerns, Amorim is widely regarded as a talented manager, and his track record at Sporting CP is impressive. However, West Ham ultimately chose to appoint Julen Lopetegui, who has previous Premier League experience.

A spokesman for David Sullivan explained, “He’s a great manager, but he’s a huge gamble as he’s only done it in his own country with one club… We liked him very much, but we chose Julen.” This decision may come back to haunt West Ham, as Manchester United are reportedly on the verge of hiring Amorim following Erik ten Hag’s departure.

Lopetegui’s start at West Ham has been less than ideal, with only three wins under his belt. In contrast, Amorim has had a near-perfect start to the season with Sporting CP. If Amorim excels at Manchester United, West Ham fans may question the judgment of Sullivan and the club’s hierarchy.

The decision highlights the risks and uncertainties involved in hiring a manager, and only time will tell if West Ham made the right choice in opting for Lopetegui over Amorim.
