“We were able to win because of the TOP-CLASS Performance from Him…” Rodgers Heaps Praises on ONE Celtic Player for an OUTSTANDING Performance Against Dundee….

Brendan Rodgers Praises Celtic’s “Top-Class” Player Alistair Johnston

Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers has hailed Alistair Johnston as “top-class” after the player’s influential performance in their 2-0 Scottish Premiership win over Dundee. Johnston scored the opening goal and impressed throughout the match.

Rodgers praised Johnston’s leadership, defensive skills, and goal-scoring ability, saying: “He’s a very important player for us. He’s got the feeling of scoring goals now and he’s hungry… He’s top class and he is a real leader within this team.” Johnston’s goal was his latest contribution to Celtic’s strong start to the season.

The Celtic boss also expressed satisfaction with his team’s overall performance, despite making several changes to the lineup. Rodgers noted that Dundee’s defensive organization made it challenging, but his players persisted and created good chances. “They won’t be in rhythm but I want them to get into the games as quickly as they can,” Rodgers said of the players who came into the team.

With Aberdeen’s win over Rangers, Celtic now leads by nine points. However, Rodgers remains focused on his team’s performance, saying: “My only focus is on ourselves… We should have won here against Aberdeen but we went a bit slack. We will be better and learn from that.” Celtic’s domestic form has been impressive, and Rodgers is pleased with the squad’s spirit and football.

Celtic faces Aberdeen in the League Cup semi-final this weekend, and Rodgers is optimistic. “We enjoy and love going to Hampden. We are in a good place and we are getting players back for the weekend as well and that will give us good energy and freshness in the game,” he said.

The match against Aberdeen promises to be intense, but Rodgers is confident in his team’s readiness. Celtic’s ability to maintain their form and overcome challenges will be crucial in their bid for success this season.
