“He Would Be West Ham’s 8th Most EXPENSIVE Player of all-time…” Brazilian Striker on West Ham RADAR as £30m Offer Has Been Tabled for Him….

West Ham United Tables £30m Bid for Unproven Brazilian Striker Igor Jesus

West Ham United has made an official bid for Botafogo striker Igor Jesus, according to Brazilian outlet Globo. The reported £30m offer would make the 23-year-old the club’s eighth most expensive signing.

Igor Jesus has impressed in the UAE with Shabab Al-Ahli Club, scoring 43 goals and providing 20 assists in 87 games. However, his record in Brazil is less convincing, with just five goals in 49 appearances for Coritiba Foot Ball Club.

The proposed transfer has raised eyebrows, considering Jesus’s lack of experience in European football. West Ham’s need for a reliable striker is pressing, but the fee seems substantial for an untested player.

Manager Julen Lopetegui and sporting director Tim Steidten are under pressure to address the team’s attacking woes, particularly after the underwhelming signing of Niclas Fullkrug. The capture of Luis Guilherme, an unproven Brazilian youngster, has also been questioned.

West Ham’s transfer strategy has been scrutinized, and this potential signing will only intensify debate. Paying £30m for Jesus, while reportedly baulking at £8.5m for a promising young manager, raises questions about the club’s priorities.

As the January transfer window approaches, West Ham’s decision-making will be closely watched.
