Leeds United Set for Double Departure as Recruitment Team Faces Overhaul

Leeds United is bracing for a significant shake-up in its recruitment team, with Jordan Miles, head of recruitment, poised to follow technical director Gretar Steinsson out of Elland Road.

Steinsson, who joined from Tottenham, is departing after just over a year to assume a similar role within 49ers Enterprises’ global football group. Leeds reportedly has no plans to replace him.

Miles, who arrived from Aberdeen in February, oversaw a tumultuous summer transfer window, securing eight new signings. However, his tenure may already be coming to an end, according to Team Talk.

The reported exit of Miles and Steinsson suggests a recruitment team restructuring is underway. With no immediate replacement planned for Steinsson and Miles potentially departing, Leeds may need to bolster its recruitment staff.

Leeds United’s hierarchy is:

  • Paraag Marathe (Chairman)
  • Angus Kinnear (Chief Executive)
  • Nick Hammond (Football Advisor)
  • Adam Underwood (Head of Football Operations)
  • Hannah Cox (Head of Football Administration)
  • Daniel Farke (Manager)
  • Martin Diggle (Academy Manager)

As the January transfer window approaches, Leeds United’s recruitment strategy will be closely watched. Will the club’s revamped recruitment team yield success, or create further challenges?
