Celtic FINALLY makes decision on signing world-class Manchester United star with 7 goal contribution

Celtic Make Transfer Decision on Manchester United Ace Christian Eriksen

Manchester United’s Christian Eriksen has been linked with a move to Celtic, but it appears that the Scottish giants have made a decision on the midfielder.

According to Football Insider’s Pete O’Rourke, Celtic’s interest in Eriksen has cooled due to his high wages. The Danish midfielder reportedly earns £150,000 per week at Manchester United, which is a significant obstacle for Celtic.

Eriksen, who has four goals and three assists in all competitions for United this season, will turn 33 soon, which may also limit his options. With his contract set to expire next June, Manchester United may be willing to let him run it down and leave on a free transfer next summer.

Celtic’s decision to pursue other options is likely due to their financial constraints. As a club that operates in a relatively poor league, Celtic’s business model relies on developing young players and selling them to richer clubs at a profit.

With Eriksen’s high wages and advancing age, it’s unlikely that Celtic would be interested in signing him, even at a quarter of his current salary. Instead, the Scottish giants will likely focus on younger, more affordable options to strengthen their squad.

Manchester United, on the other hand, will need to decide whether to keep Eriksen or let him go. With his contract expiring soon, the Red Devils may be willing to let him leave on a free transfer next summer. However, if they can find a suitable buyer in January, they may be able to recoup some of the costs associated with his high wages.
