Madden stopped short of agreeing with calls for a red card but maintained that Kyogo’s actions met the criteria for a booking. Madden added fuel to the controversy by conducting a fan poll asking whether Kyogo’s challenge warranted no card, a yellow, or a red.
The responses appeared to align closely with club loyalties: Celtic fans overwhelmingly favoured no card, while Aberdeen and Rangers supporters leaned towards a red card.
The incident has sparked a heated debate among fans and pundits, with some arguing that Kyogo’s challenge was reckless and deserving of a yellow card, while others believe that it was an accidental collision.
