Good Deal: Leeds United to sign ENERGETIC player as the first signing in January

Leeds United are reportedly interested in signing Burnley attacking midfielder Josh Brownhill, who has been hailed as “energetic” by pundit Lee Hendrie.

Brownhill’s contract at Burnley expires at the end of the season, and he has yet to sign an extension. This has led to interest from several clubs, including Leeds, Rangers, Celtic, Fiorentina, and Lazio.

The report claims that Fiorentina and Lazio have already made offers to sign Brownhill on a free transfer, while Rangers and Celtic are also weighing up bids. However, Leeds are also in the mix, and could potentially sign him in January or on a free transfer in the summer.

Brownhill’s form at Championship and Premier League level suggests that he would be an excellent addition to Leeds’ squad. In the 2023/24 campaign, he produced four goals and two assists in 23 top-flight starts, while also averaging 2.8 tackles and interceptions per game.

In comparison, Brenden Aaronson has been a solid contributor for Leeds this season, but Brownhill’s statistics suggest that he could offer more in terms of goals, assists, and defensive contributions.

Farke should push to sign Brownhill, who could be an excellent addition to the Leeds squad. His experience in the Premier League and Championship, combined with his impressive form, make him an attractive target for the Whites.

Leeds are currently top of the Championship table, but the competition is fierce, and they will need to make some smart additions in the January transfer window to stay ahead of the pack. Signing Brownhill could be a shrewd move, and one that could help Leeds secure promotion to the Premier League.

In other news, Leeds have also been linked with a move for Paris St Germain defender Ousmane Dembele, who has been described as “tenacious” by pundits. The Whites have reportedly submitted an opening offer for the £25m defender, who is also a target for Manchester City.

Leeds fans will be eagerly waiting to see if the club can secure some top talent in the January transfer window. With Brownhill and Dembele on the radar, it could be an exciting few weeks for the Whites.
