2025 F1 GRID: WHY Red Bull Regard Ferrari as a ‘Standout’ on the F1 2025 GRID…

RED BULL BOSS CHRISTIAN HORNER HAILS FERRARI AS “STANDOUT” TEAM ON 2025 F1 GRID

As the 2025 Formula 1 season prepares to get underway, Red Bull team principal Christian Horner has singled out Ferrari as the “standout” team on the grid. Horner’s comments come after Ferrari unveiled their new SF-25 car, which features a number of significant design changes.

“I think that into this cycle of regulations, it’s clear that the cars have converged and they look very similar,” Horner told media, including Motorsport Week. “I think probably Ferrari is a standout as being the differentiator.”

Ferrari’s decision to adopt a pull-rod front suspension is one of the most notable changes on their new car. The Italian team has also made significant tweaks to their aerodynamic package, in a bid to close the gap to their rivals.

According to Ferrari technical director Loic Serra, the team’s decision to make such sweeping changes was driven by a desire to push the boundaries of what is possible within the current regulations.

“We encountered a development ceiling with the SF-24, and we wanted to be more ambitious with the design of the SF-25,” Serra explained.

Horner believes that Ferrari’s bold approach will make them a major force to be reckoned with in 2025. However, he also expects the season to be incredibly competitive, with a number of teams capable of winning races.

“I think the biggest winner out of that would be the fans and followers of the sport,” Horner said. “As Zak [Brown, McLaren CEO] says, you could quite easily have eight winners this year. There’s some curveballs in that as well. It could really be pretty open.”

With the season set to get underway, Horner’s comments have added to the sense of anticipation and excitement building around the 2025 F1 campaign. One thing is certain: Ferrari’s bold new car will be one to watch, and their rivals will be keeping a close eye on their progress.

As the teams prepare to do battle, Horner’s praise for Ferrari’s innovative approach has set the tone for what promises to be an thrilling season. With the margins between the teams expected to be tighter than ever, every detail will count, and Ferrari’s willingness to take risks may just give them the edge they need to succeed.

As the lights go out and the season gets underway, one thing is certain: the 2025 F1 season will be one to remember.
