“You are free to go” West Ham is now fully interested in letting star player leave this summer, Player is very inexperienced and price tag at £4M

West Ham United are reportedly ready to let Brazilian defender Luizao leave the club this summer, according to Brazilian website UOL. Luizao, who joined the Hammers on a free transfer from Sao Paulo in January 2023, has failed to make a senior appearance for the club and is now deemed surplus to requirements.

The 22-year-old center-back has been linked with a move to Brazilian clubs Fluminense and RB Bragantino, but West Ham are demanding around £4 million for his signature. However, it’s unlikely that the Hammers will get anywhere near that amount, given Luizao’s lack of experience and playing time in the Premier League.

Luizao’s departure would not come as a surprise to many West Ham fans, who may have even forgotten that he is a part of the squad. The defender’s underwhelming 18-month spell at the London Stadium has made him an easy target for transfer speculation.

Meanwhile, Lucas Paqueta, another Brazilian player at West Ham, has been linked with a move away from the club. However, it’s more likely that Paqueta will leave the club this summer, given his experience and playing time in the Premier League.

West Ham head coach Julen Lopetegui is keen to balance the books at the London Stadium, with a £90 million budget at his disposal. The Hammers have already spent around £65 million on three new signings this summer, and Lopetegui will need to move on some of the fringe players to make room for new arrivals.

The departure of Luizao would be a relatively low-key exit, given his lack of impact at the club. However, the transfer window is always full of surprises, and West Ham fans will be watching closely to see who else might be leaving the London Stadium this summer.
