Sean Dyche is keen to add to his Everton squad this summer, but another midfielder has confirmed his exit from the club. Lewis Warrington, 21, has announced that he is leaving Everton after 15 years at the club. The young midfielder posted a heartfelt message on social media, thanking the staff who had supported him throughout his career on Merseyside.

Warrington’s time at Everton has come to an end after 15 years. He joined the club as a youngster and worked his way up through the youth ranks. However, his progress was hindered by injuries and loan spells away from the club. Despite his best efforts, Warrington was unable to break into the first team and has now decided to move on.

“Even though I am moving on, this club will remain a massive part in mine and my families lives. See you all in the stands,” Warrington said in his farewell message.

Warrington’s exit is the latest in a series of departures from Everton’s midfield. Andre Gomes has also left the club on a free transfer, while Amadou Onana is on the brink of a big-money move to Aston Villa. The Toffees are keen to restock their midfield and have already signed Tim Iroegbunam permanently from Aston Villa. They are also targeting Chelsea’s Lesley Ugochukwu on loan to fill the gap left by Onana.
