DEAL CLOSE: Agent of Everton MOST WANTED player now in Everton likely to strike a deal with Everton for player to move to Everton on a permanent deal

Newcastle United’s £33m star Yankuba Minteh’s agent, Bakary Bojang, has been spotted at Everton’s training ground, Finch Farm, despite Minteh joining Brighton for a club record £33million fee. Bojang posted a photo of himself outside Finch Farm and a short video on Instagram, but didn’t disclose the reason behind the visit.

However, it’s understood that the visit was related to Everton’s academy, as Bojang has helped facilitate trials for two 17-year-old Gambian duo, Sellou Jeng and Tijan Colley, who will join Everton’s academy this month. Jeng will join from Bakoteh United Academy, while Colley will arrive from Bakoteh Football Club in The Gambia.

Minteh’s move to Brighton made him the fifth most expensive teenager in Premier League history and the most expensive Gambian of all time. Despite not playing any matches for Newcastle, the winger became the club’s third most expensive player sale ever, helping to satisfy Profit & Sustainability Rules (PSR) criteria.

Everton were heavily linked with a move for Minteh last month following his impressive season on loan at Feyenoord. However, talks with Newcastle failed to progress after negotiations regarding striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin stalled due to a difference in valuation.

Newcastle United has been active in the transfer market, with Sky Sports issuing a £40m transfer update on Champions League winner Anthony Gordon. Liverpool has also sent a transfer message to Newcastle regarding Gordon.

Additionally, Newcastle is eyeing Copa America star, Emerson Palmieri, as a potential transfer target. Palmieri has been linked to a shock move to Saudi Arabia after snubbing Newcastle.
