Celtic FC Transfer News: Peter Grant Urges Brendan Rodgers to Sign Lennon Miller

Celtic FC has been busy in the transfer market this summer, with Brendan Rodgers adding Paulo Bernardo to his ranks. However, former Celtic hero Peter Grant believes the club should make a move for young Motherwell starlet Lennon Miller.

Grant was speaking on The Go Radio Football Show when he praised Miller’s abilities, saying: “I really like the young boy, Lennon Miller at Motherwell. I would take him now. I don’t know what Celtic have, but if they’ve got anything underneath that’s better than him at this moment in time, I’ll be surprised.”

Miller, 17, was a revelation for Motherwell last season, making 32 appearances and scoring once. He also created three assists, including one against Celtic. Grant believes Miller has “got everything” and would be a great addition to the Celtic squad.

“Lennon Miller has got an eye for a goal, and I think he’s more than capable of playing in the league at this moment in time,” Grant said. “Europe is completely different, but with the likes of Bernardo coming in, it’s another young group of players. I just really like Lennon Miller.”

While Miller may not get into the Celtic team immediately, Grant believes he would benefit from learning from experienced players like Callum McGregor, Reo Hatate, and Matt O’Riley.

Celtic was reportedly “keeping tabs” on Miller in November, and with less than two years left on his current deal, a move to Paradise could be a possibility. Grant’s endorsement may prompt Rodgers to make a move for the young Scotland U19 international.

In other news, Celtic FC has completed the signing of Paulo Bernardo from Benfica. The Portuguese midfielder is Rodgers’ third signing of the summer, following Viljami Sinisalo and Kasper Schmeichel.

As the transfer window heats up, Celtic fans will be eager to see more signings. Peter Grant’s endorsement of Lennon Miller may be the catalyst for a move, and the young starlet could be the next big thing at Celtic Park.
