Austute ManEverton FC is in talks to sign Scott McTominay from Manchester United, with the Toffees looking to bolster their midfield options before the transfer deadline. According to The Athletic, Everton has expressed interest in the Scotland international, who has been a fringe player at Old Trafford.
However, Sky Sports and talkSPORT journalist Dan Bardell believes McTominay will reject a move to Merseyside in favor of staying at Manchester United. Bardell spoke exclusively to Goodison News, saying: “He’s been linked for a while, but I think he’ll stay at United. He knows he’s not the first choice, but he always battles himself into the team.”
Manchester United is reportedly seeking a fee between £25m-30m for McTominay, which could be a stumbling block for Everton given their financial uncertainty. Bardell added: “I don’t see Everton being able to pay that. I don’t see him leaving Man United.”
