Phillip Clement is DESPERATELY Looking For His First Win Against Celtic and It seems His LETHAL Weapon Will Help in Achieving This Feat

The first Old Firm clash of the season is just around the corner, and Celtic have the opportunity to move five points clear of Rangers in the Scottish Premiership after just four games. The highly anticipated match will take place at Parkhead on Sunday, live on Sky Sports, and Philippe Clement will be looking to secure his first win against Brendan Rodgers.

Celtic have made a winning start to their title defence and have Champions League football to look forward to, while Rangers have already dropped points and failed to qualify for Europe’s top competition. Kris Boyd, a former Rangers player and current Sky Sports expert, believes that Rangers need to start getting results against Celtic if they want to be successful.

“Rangers have struggled in recent times when facing Celtic, and they need to find a way to start getting results again,” Boyd said. “Their head-to-head record against Celtic hasn’t been good enough, and they need to address that if they want to be successful.”

Boyd also thinks that Rangers will try to frustrate Celtic and see where that takes them. “Rangers will likely try to frustrate Celtic and see where that takes them,” he said. “If you go and try to take Celtic on at their own game at home, it’s going to be very difficult to come out on top. We’ve seen it before when you’re underdogs, you go and frustrate a team and you’re able to nick something.”

Celtic, on the other hand, have started the season very well, scoring goals and moving the ball well. They have options with Adam Idah and Kyogo at the top end of the pitch, and Reo Hatate has been excellent since the start of the season. Callum McGregor and Daizen Maeda have also been causing real problems for opposing teams.

“Celtic are in a good place,” Boyd said. “They’ve started the season very well, and they have a lot of options in attack. They’re heavy favourites for the match, and rightly so.”

However, Boyd also believes that Rangers can’t afford to lose the match. “If Rangers lose, they’ll be five points behind Celtic after just four games, and that’s not a great position to be in,” he said. “The recruitment, players leaving, performances, the Champions League exit – it’s been small things adding up, and a lot of Rangers fans are at the stage where they aren’t happy. If it goes badly at the weekend, they’ll voice their opinions again because it hasn’t been good enough.”
