“Celtic now has a HUGE advantage to win the games” – Celtic fans rejoice as NEW UPDATE is given ahead of the Champions League Qualifier Games.

Celtic will host both legs of their Champions League round two qualifier against Vorskla Poltava at the Excelsior Stadium in Airdrie on September 22 and 26. This is due to the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, and the winners of the knockout tie will progress to the group stage.

Celtic’s women’s team, led by Elena Sadiku, has the opportunity to make history by reaching the group stages for the first time. No Scottish club has achieved this since the competition began in the 2021/22 season.

The team has already made progress by winning against Finnish side KuPS and FC Gintra of Lithuania, and will now face Vorskla Poltava in the next round. The fixtures have been adjusted due to the European games, with Celtic’s SWPL home match against Montrose being reversed and played on September 19 at Links Park.
