Rangers have “stepped up” their pursuit of Hampus Skoglund as they intensify their search for a long-term replacement for James Tavernier.
According to a new report, the Ibrox side have now held direct talks with the Hammarby defender’s representatives, signalling a significant escalation in their interest as they look to strengthen at right-back.
Rangers News has reported that Skoglund had already been identified as a key target in May, with the 20-year-old included on a shortlist of options following Tavernier’s departure at the end of the season.
