Nicolas Kuhn’s Agent Dismisses January Exit Rumors, Hails Celtic as Perfect Fit
Nicolas Kuhn’s representative, Christian Nerlinger, has categorically denied rumors of a January exit from Celtic, insisting the German winger is “loving life” at the Hoops.
Kuhn’s impressive form, with 10 goals this season, including a Champions League double against RB Leipzig, has sparked interest from English Premier League clubs Fulham and Brentford. However, Nerlinger has shut down any prospect of a January move.
“The speculation is not an issue for us,” Nerlinger told Record Sport. “We have found a home for Nicolas at Celtic. We are not, never, walking out on Celtic without being together with the club because this success story was created by Celtic.”
Nerlinger, a former Rangers midfielder, praised Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers for bringing out the best in Kuhn. “We are very grateful for how Brendan Rodgers developed the player. Nicolas feels the power of this club.”
Kuhn’s Focus on Silverware and Champions League Success
Nerlinger emphasized Kuhn’s focus on achieving success with Celtic. “Perhaps at some point there will be movement, but we will not pressurize things. It’s a massive season, and we are really relaxed. We are just happy that Nicolas is at the right point, at the right time with the right manager who develops him.”
The agent highlighted Kuhn’s comfort at Celtic. “He is enjoying the philosophy of the manager and is enjoying Glasgow. We are enjoying the kind of things that are happening with Celtic, and for me, he is just at the right point with the right people. He feels totally comfortable.”
Nerlinger’s Celtic Praise
Nerlinger, who previously declined the opportunity to return to Rangers as sporting director, praised Celtic’s setup. “I know from my time at Rangers it was very hard to get something out of the television rights, so of course, they need to find these success stories – identify a player, buy him for £3 million, and sell him for £20-£25 million – but we will do everything together with the club.”
Kuhn’s Rise to Prominence
After a challenging first six months at Celtic following his £3 million move from Rapid Vienna, Kuhn has found his top form. Nerlinger attributed this to Rodgers’ guidance. “We are really grateful for that. It’s a good team. He is enjoying the philosophy of the manager.”
Conclusion
Nicolas Kuhn’s agent, Christian Nerlinger, has dismissed rumors of a January exit from Celtic, emphasizing the winger’s happiness and focus on achieving success with the Hoops. With Kuhn’s impressive form and Nerlinger’s praise for Brendan Rodgers, Celtic fans can expect the German winger to remain a key player in the club’s pursuit of silverware and Champions League success.
