‘NOT SURE WHY’: PAUL MERSON NOT HAPPY WITH MIKEL ARTETA OVER 22-YEAR-OLD ARSENAL PLAYER

Bukayo Saka is one of the best and most important players for Arsenal, but the winger may not play for the Gunners against Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City at the Emirates Stadium this weekend.

Arsenal will lock horns with Manchester City at the Emirates Stadium in North London in the Premier League on Sunday.

Bukayo Saka suffered a muscular problem against Lens in the UEFA Champions League in midweek.

The 22-year-old England international winger could not finish the game.

Paul Merson on Arsenal, Mikel Arteta and Bukayo Saka
Former Arsenal star and Sky Sports pundit Paul Merson is not happy with manager Mikel Arteta for playing Saka against Lens.

Merson wrote in SportsKeeda: “I didn’t expect Arsenal to beat Lens this week, and I’m not sure why Arteta chose to play Bukayo Saka.

“He’s got a big game coming up against Manchester City, and his decision could come back to bite them.”

My View: Mikel Arteta should have managed Bukayo Saka better
In my opinion, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta should have been more careful with Bukayo Saka and could have avoided the current situation.

The winger came under some tough challenges in the North London derby against Tottenham Hotspur.

Saka also limped off against Bournemouth in the Premier League last weekend,

And then in midweek, he suffered an injury against RC Lens.

It was coming.

Saka plays week in and week out, and it was only a matter of time before the winger suffered an injury.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta should have managed the winger better and given him rest on occasions.
